Some of the school's athletes were the
boys on the tennis team. The most promis-
ing athlete on the tennis team was Andy
Wilson. The rest of the team also played
A lot of time, dedication and staying
after school for practice were very critical
elements in making a good team. Though
the losses may be deceiving, their wins
were hard fought.
Some new players registered for the spr-
ing semester. With hard work, they made
the team stronger. The juniors on the team
are looking forward to next year and mak-
ing the team more productive.
Some of the events for this season in-
cluded a Mixed Doubles Tournament, and
8- Team Tournament against schools from
Abilene, Odessa, and Amarillo.
Coach Stephens, a ranked pro player in
the city, turned the team from a loosely
knit group into a well oiled tennis machine.

Time, effort, and hard work are all ingre-
dients that the people of the swim team
are required to possess. This means
sacrificing some things such as waking up
early and be ready for practice by 7:30
a.m, each morning.
This year the team consisted of 72
members and the manager was Larry

mers did alright. To qualify for state they
had to finish first, second, or third in district
and then swim for regionals and must have
finish in first or second.
