The people were of different races and religions. They had different social and economic back- grounds. Yet, all had one thing in common . . . a true bond with the Sun City. A bond that was pride for the city that is so rich in culture, heritage, and history. East El Pasoans were especially proud of the Texas town. With the city's popula- tion always increasing, new businesses and housing developments were always being built on the east side. Yet, while the new is forever changing the face of the east, old landmarks still stood tall as eastsiders chose to preserve momentos of past accomplishments. These accomplishments were a sign of what had developed in the once-small border town in the past 400 years and a reminder to all E1 Pasoans of what might develop in the west Texas town known as El Paso. SUN CITY SIGHTS are often times more beautiful to watch when the sun is going down, especially a breath taking view of the ever-growing city skyscape. 4 Opening AN OVERHEAD VIEW of the countryside can be seen when in an arial tramway. The tramway is an excellent way to spot many landmarks that would otherwise be impossible to see. LEGENDARY HEROES PLAY an important role southwestern culture.
