The weather unfortunately turned cold and forced the cramped students back to the cafeteria until warmer weather. Also adding sunshine were the children from the Child Development Lab who visited a beginning Modern Dance class every Fri- day to learn different kinds of games and dances. February also brought a chance for the students to get out of class and watch the students and teachers battle in the annual Faculty-Senior basketball game. February slipped into March with the Military Ball one of the most promising eve- nings. Seniors Give, Get Last Laugh Dunks into icy waters, a cold, wet sponge in the face and a trip through the haunts of horribles all raked in money for school clubs as students let go for a fun night at the spring carnival in April. While the warming spring days dragged for some, they raced for others, especially the seniors who filled out of school hours with addressing announcements, planning for college, and, only occasionally, studying for the last tests. The prospective graduates' last gift to the student body was the performance of the Senior Highlights, an assembly of du- bious talents, wild skits and general hilarity. On May 25, seniors made that final walk as high school students to pick up their di- plomas, some snickering because the under- classmen were left with two extra days of classes to make up for days missed during the January snows. ...M 1 I ffm. l m ifilliii '.
