SENIOR CLASS HISTORY We the Graduatung Class of 60 have struggled for twelve long years and have funally reached our goall' Of the Senuors that wull graduate thus year the followung sux have been together through the long grund Beverly Rodgers Fern Allen JoAnn Morrus Jum Burnsed Henry Wells and Judy Lewus In the second grade Muke Parker and Annette Struckland louned us They were followed un the fourth grade by Ronald Jaszczak and Mules Moody Another year gave us Arthur Carle and Davud Shuelds Durung the suxth grade Larry Smuth was added to our group In our furst year of Junuor Hugh School Flagler Beach contrubuted the followung students to our growung group Chuck Cummuns Elaune Frauley Bev erly Haunes Joan Robbuns Charles Robson and Carolyn Wulluams the next year Robert Cook trans The grammar years had come and gone and we found ourselves un hugh school wuth the dreaded tutle Freaky Freshman Mr Theodore Heun as our sponsor and Betty Jo Revels as our new classmate The Senuors of 57 unutuated us unto hugh school by requurung the gurls to dress luke men the boys luke women They wrote R A T on our faces and smeared us wuth shavung cream and soured whupped cream Oh' What a mess' The addutuon of Buddy Taylor shortly after the begunnung of the school year com pletes the roll of the Graduatung Class of 60 Our Homecomung candudates were JoAnn Morrus and Jum Burnsed and our contrubutuons to the Halloween Court were Beverly Rodgers and Robert Cook As Sully Sophomores we gave our sponsor Mr Heun another year of problems uncludung the tra dutuonal Valentune Dance and the Easter Dance Our Homecomung candudates for thus year were Betty Jo Revels and Buddy Taylor As Jealous Junuors we started the year wuth the magazune druve whuch netted us less money than any ot the prevuous classes had receuved As Bunnell Hugh School tradutuon decrees we selected our class rungs after a democratuc duscussuon The Homecomung candudates were Annette Struckland and Bob Lubbey We sponsored the Homecomung Dance whuch unluke our magazune druve was a bug suc cess Tured of upholdung tradutuons we decuded to change thungs and hold the Prom un Daytona Beach at the Bath and Tennus Club whuch was the perfect settung for our theme of Oruental Gardens Our spon sors thus year were Muss Flora Babuak and Mrs Mary Broadaway Funally we became Sensatuonal Senuors and claumed the pruvuleges that we had earned Thus year for the furst tume all Homecomung candudates were and Robert Cook were selected to represent the Senuors JoAnn Morrus and Jum Burnsed were crowned Homecomung Kung and Queen of l959 ln addutuon to the four students named above B tty Jo Revels Arthur Carle Annette Struckland and Buddy Tay lor complete the Homecomung Court We decorated the Cuvuc Center to carry out the theme Blue Chrust mas for the Chrustmas Ball lt was very attractuve and the members of the class worked very dulugent ly on ut Judy Lewus receuved the Betty Crocker Home maker of Tomorrow award and JoAnn Morrus was presented the DAR Good Cutuzen award Our spon sors Mr John Cannon and Muss Nancy Youree were very helpful to us We shall always remember the fun and sorrows throughout our school years and the sadness and thrull of graduatuon As we leave we take many cherushed memorues wuth us to look back on un future years when we thunk of these years of fun and com panuonshup Page Twenty N ne ' I H - n - I I I I , . . . .
