Won the SimilRoyal Tournament for the eigth year in row. Won the Channel League Title for eleventh year in a row. JV's won the last 19 games, and have yet to lose a Channel League home game in the last 12 years. Special awards went to Lianne lshikawa as Simi Christmas Tournament Most Valuable Player. All tournament honors went to Jennifer Goodwin. ln the first annual Buena Tourna- ment, Lianne was awarded all-tournament along with Laura Hammitt and Becky Wells. Jennifer Goodwin's total of 238 points places her fourth on the All Time Best list of the J.V. Basketball program while Carrie Smith, with 211 points, placed 9th. Jennifer Goodwin seta program high of 271 field goal attempts and placed 2nd in the history of the program with 106 field goals made. - Comments of Coach Lane Jackson. IRLS J.V. Q, Jackson's jumpers claim 11th Channel League Champs in Statistics: Leading scorer was Jennifer Good- win with an average of 1 1.33 per game followed by Carrie Smith 9.59, Becky Wells 8.68, Mia Palkie 8.14, and Laura Hammitt 7.91. Jennifer Goodwin also led the team in free throw per- centage at 6805 followed closely by Becky and Jennifer Wells at 67oA,.Far and away in the assist ve the rest. Boy's Soccer Scores Success as J .V. Captures First Place VARSITY SOCCER TEAM- FRONT BOW: Sean Scott, Leo Sosa, Jon All Channel League First Team and top scorer, Danny Goodwin, hitting 15 goals bounced to Most Valuable Player. Leo Sosa claimed all league first team, too. All league second team named Jason Aldrich aboard, and he was selected team captain. Also on second team were Jon Beecroft and Peter Willsrud. Chris Pryor, Justin Roche, and David Saucedo gained slots on all league honorable mention. Junior Varsity jumped on undefeated champion- ship with 16-0 record. Mike Trigo made MVP, and Todd Butterbaugh cornered team captain. ln their race to unbeaten champs they shutout 13 opponents. With 11 goals, Michael Brand kicked in top scorer spot.
