Varsity claims 5tfi consecutive title, jfil take top too! l GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY - FRONT ROW: Robin Riendeau, Lori Montoya, Mary Dietz, Kim Henry, Nicole Ellis, Teresa Rodriguez, Carla Besamant. ROW TWO: Pureza Perea, lamie White, Shirin Noury, Danielle Connick, Kristi Hawkins, Laura Wittenberg, Lupe Galvan, Michelle Leblanc. ROW THREE: Danielle Boyd, Karen Hin- kle, Coach Steve Blum, Coach Betsy Harrison, Krista johnson, Alisa Blum's 5th championship team in as many years was led by Most Valuable Varsity runners Mary Dietz and Lori Montoya. Dietz and Montoya also received Dia Rounds Scholarships. Montoya ran an overall top ten time in Buena history charging to a 19:20 at Santa Barbara League Finals. Successful Iunior Varsity effort found Most Valuable Daniel Connick and Kristin Curry leading the pack. ln the invitationals Varsity ran first place courses in Fountain Valley, they garnered second at Paramount Ranch and Ventura County Championships. l.V.'s scur- ried to first place at Paramont Ranch, Fountain Valley, and Ventura County Championships. FroshfSophs hit hills attaining first place at San Pasqual, Paramont Ranch, and Ventura County Champs. Laguna Hills saw them grab the third place stick. Perren, Michelle Algee.
