Rooney are General Statement The Board of Education of the Ventura Unified School District believes in providing the highest quality of education for the children, youth and adult citizens of our community. We believe that the purpose of the public schools is two-fold: C13 to develop the individual to the limits of his abil- ities for a productive and meaningful life in an ever-changing Worldg and C23 through excellence in education for all, to assure that our democratic government and society will survive and prosper. We believe that the end product of the educative process should be an adult citizen capable of taking his place in society, an adult who is edu- cated in the finest sense of the word, regardless of the number of years of formal education he ultimately attains.
