BACK ROW: Debbie Matthews: DEBATE CLUB: Members of the Debate Club are interested in improving their public speaking abilities and enjoying thoughtful conjecture of varied topics. Its purpose is to stimulate argumen- tative discussion in the form of an organized de- bate session, and to pro- mote personal speech. Subjects range from stu- dent interests to inter- national interests. New to Buena this year, the Debate Club had an en- thusiastic beginning. 102 MEDICAL ARTS CLUB: Medical Arts Club is de- signed for any student interested in any type of medical career. Its ob- jective is to give mem- bers a broad range of knowledge of many fields of medicine and health: Dentistry, Nurs- ing, Laboratory techni- cian, Dietetics, and others. Meetings were held twice a month at which health specialists describe their career. Members are selected for their character on the basis of faculty and Knights evaluation and the service each prospective Knight has performed for Buena and the community. Serving Buena and the community in every Way possible is the club's main objective. Activities include ushering at assemblies and pep rallies, and serving at the Mother-Daughter Banquet. Through Membership in Co-curricular Activities FUTURE TEACHERS CLUB: Learning the teach- ing profession, and working with teachers to gain a better understanding of their work are the main objectives of the Future Teachers Club.
