He grad- uated from Heidelberg College, having majored in Mathematics and Science. In addition he has done graduate work at Ohio State. He came to B. H. S. in 1918 to teach Chemistry and Physics, and for about three years thereafter he assisted the Varsity Football Team in the capacity of a volunteer coach. In 1924 Mr. Baer was appointed Principal ot' the High School, a position he filled with distinc- tion until 1935, in which year he was elected Super- intendent of Schools. The popularity and good will he attained as Principal has continued and deepened during these years into a marked respect for his fairness, his clarity of judgment, and his desire to be of service to the students of B. H. S. and to the community. We, the Senior Class of 1946, take this oppor- tunity, Mr. Baer, to give you our vote of coniidence. It is our hope that the years to come will be your best, our best, and the best at B. H. S. . SEIDNEIQ HIGH SVHOOL l'l!INt'll'AL Mr. Seidner came to IZ. H. S. in 1944, from the Sandusky, Ohio, High School. He holds an A.l!. degree from Denison, in Political Science: and an A.lVl. degree from Ohio State, in School Adminis- tration. In addition, during the past ten years he tanght Principles of Education and Methods in the Social Studies at three summer sessions at Denison. l'rior to his arrival in Bucyrus, Mr. Seidner accu- mulated nfteen years' service in the Ohio schools: for live years he taught American history and Civ- ics, English and Speech, at the Toronto tOhiol High School: and for the next ten years he served the Sandusky High School, nine years as a teacher of Sociolouy and Civics, and his last year there as Dean of Boys. Mr. Seidner's interest in educational and com- munity matters is evidenced by the many organiza- tions to which he contributes time and attention. He is a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha frater- nity, the N. E. A., and O. E. A., the National and the Ohio Associations of High School Principals, Rotary International, the Bucyrus Y. M. C. A., and, the Boy Scouts of America-in the capacity of a District Committee lvleniber-Harding Area Coun- cil. Mr. Seidner's years as Principal of B. H.
