f-said H THE ROAD NOT TAKEN Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travil both And be on traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowthg Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grass and wanted wear Though as fort attllle passin there Had worn them really about she same, And both that morning equall lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowinrg how way leads on to way, I doubted i I should ever come back I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I- I took the one less traveled b , And-that has made all the difllerence. -Robert Frost And only one thing reallytroubled him, sitting there -the melancholy craving in his heart- because the sun was like enchantment on his face and on the clouds and on the golden birch leaves, and the wind's rustle was so gently, and the yew-tree green so dark, and the sickle of a moon pale in the sky. He might wish and wish and never get it -the beauty and the loving in the worId! Try to be a man of value rather than a man of success. man of success takes more from life than he puts in, ut a man of value gives more to life than he takes from ll -Albert Einstein y life has been greatly touched by those near to me. y great-grandmother, my grandmother, my sister, and ertainly my parents - they have given me so much. Il I hope is that the incalculable things they have given e will all make me 'turn out' well. -john Galsworthy's THE FORSYTE SAGA 14607 jaw, Je cam

So many people to thank-so many things to say-And far too little space. . . First and foremost-my teachers: Mr. Yao, Mrs Lind- ley, Mr. Wang, Mr. Ericksson, Mr. Gregorio, Mme. Gaillard, Miss Puckett land Mrs. Helgesonl- You tran- cend the norm because you care about both what you teach and the people that you teach. Students learn from you, and that is no accident. Thank you for all you have taught me, and for always caring. A special love to Mrs. Yao la calm harbor in an angry storml. My friends tquality not quantitylz Thank you, Dinah, for always being there to tell my troubles to . Lisa- I will remember always what we shared, and that it was important and good. What can l say about Gerry- we have so many things as yet ahead of usl Mrs.Hel- geson-you have always been there, a helping hand in a difficult time. You know what this has meant to me, but I offer my thanks and love once again. Finally, Kathy, there is no way l could ever truly express what l feel. Your care and companionship tlong distance, albeitj has kept me going when I thought nothing could. All l can say is thank you for everything. Re- member, the best is yet to come-I love you all very much, and will always. My life was touched as well by another friend-but one I cannot thank personally. Paul Stevenson died in April, 1974, but his memory lives on in those who knew him. l am sorry we did not have more time to- gether-but I am grateful for the time we were given. And, finally, my parents: You have always cared about me tl think some mistakes were made, but that is only humanll. What is important is that you have both always tried to do the right thinggfor me-what you thought was best. Thank you for your love, and my life. ln the clearing stands a boxer, And a fighter by his trade, And he carries the reminders Of ev'ry glove that laid him down Or cut him till he cried out In his anger and his shame, I am leaving, I am leaving. But the fighter still remains. -Paul Simon . lj I .55 V If . rr
