EDITORS' Nonas I A yearbook is a creation. As with all creations, one starts out with little more than an idea, and produces some- thing of enduring value. For the past six months, it has been Claudia's and my job to sit down and create, and we have, in spite of lost photos, early deadlines, and inexperience, succeeded in producing what you now hold in your hands, the 'I976 Buckley IMAGES. It is far from perfect, but I am satisfied to say that this book con- tains a large part of me, and that both Claudia and I have finally finished what only a few months ago seemed like an endless and impossible job. I would like to thank several people who have made it easier for both of us: Mrs. Brown, for providing a steady rock in our fits of hyperactivity, Bryan The Mole Winter, Iso named because he spent so much time in the darkroom that he can no longer stand to look at su nlightl for taking and developing the bulk of the photographs in this book, and for putting up with my erratic moods, Brandt Williams for coming through with the sports section and some fantastic layouts, Sue Disney for singlehandedly producing the ad section in this book, Mike Arnone, for silly songs, being late, and lots of reassurance: So what if you're 280 production days behind? I guarantee you'll have your book on timeI And finally, Claudia, for all the lighthearted moments we've shared in producing IMAGES. I would never have been able to do my job efficiently, had these special people not made themselves a part of our yearbook. IMAGES is my last contribution to Buckley, and it has certainly left me changed. I knew virtually nothing about producing a yearbook when I accepted this job. IThere are those who will attest to that even now.J I learned, however, and I hope that this book will have some type of impact on the students, because it is for the students that a yearbook is produced. For the departing seniors, this book represents the final tie with Buckley. If, in looking back on this book in the years to come, it elicits in you a happy memory, a glimpse of something you'd forgotten, or even just a smile, then my job as editor will have been worthwhile. Good-bye and Thank You! -Becky Ranninger
