WE, THE CLASS of 1959, entered BUHS in the year 1955 with one hundred eighteen boys and girls. At our first class meeting, we elected Jackie Meck, president, Jerry Bridgman, vice-president, Pattie Davis, secretary-treasurer. Selected to represent us freshmen on student council were Sandra Kelley and Gilbert Vasquez. Pat Richardson was selected as our Rodeo Queen candidate. Homecoming King-Queen candidates were Bud Schulz and Patti Davis. Our most important social event was the Freshmen Follies. As the doors of BUHS opened in 1956, one hundred one sophomores filed through, only seventeen less than the previous year. Elected as officers were, Jackie Meck, president, Gilbert Vasquez, vice-president, and Diane Makin, secretary-treasurer. Student council representatives were Margaret Hindman and Jerry Bridgman. Homecoming King and Queen candidates were Jerry Bridgman and Diane Makin. Margaret Hindman as our Rodeo Queen candidate became Queen of the Helza- poppin Rodeo. Our Sophomore Hop was very successful. As Juniors we were eighty in number, quite a decrease. Our officers were Ed Van Landingham, president, Steve Bales, vice-president, Pat Richardson, secretary-treasurer. Student council representatives were Barbara Sanders and Jackie Meck. As our Homecoming King and Queen candidates we selected Pat Richardson and Ed Van Landingham. We sponsored the Junior-Senior Prom with the theme Chinese Gardens. This year we are one of the largest graduating classes to leave BUHS. We elected these officers for our final year: Gilbert Vasquez, president, Marta Acedo, vice-president, Brenda Barclay, secretary-treas- urer. Our student council representatives are Judy Clemit and Bob Hargar. This year we sponsored the Homecoming Dance, Steve Bales as our King candidate became King of the Dance. Diane Makin was our Queen candidate. Our most exciting event other than Homecoming was Ditch Day!

I, CORA McGlNTY, will my ways so quiet, to RUBY MARSDEN, who is a riot. I, GLENN WATTS, will my build so small, to GLENELL LACKEY, who is quite tall. I, NOAL HAMILTON, will my scientific knowledge, to REED KING, who plans to go to college. I, LIZ RIEFKOHL, will my engagement ring, to KAREN JOHNSON, who in chorus sings. l, LANNY HENRY, will my love for English IV, to ROB- ERT BROWN, who is no bore. I, EDGAR LAWLER, will my childish pranks, to JACK WIL- LIAMSON, I expect no thanks. We, RICHARD REYNOLDS, WALLACE PAYNE, and DALE McCALL, will our sneaky techniques in getting into the show, to SANDRA HANSEN, MARGIE SMITH, and MARGARET OWENS, who hardly ever go.
