E 0l'lleC0lYlll'l 9 9 Ierry Davis 12B was officially presented as Buch tels 1948 King B at the intermission of the YTeen Sweetheart dance in February Ierry a very hand some and modest King certainly possesses all the characteristics of a true King Iack Usner placed second 1n the votmg and had the honor of servmg as Bob Wilson Dlck Everhard Paul Peterson and Bill Maxson Each of these boys as do all the members of the Court exemphty to a high degree the quahtles of character c1t1zensh1p and culture required to be elected The two 1un1or representatwes were Iohn Freiss and Iohn Bly Christy Sarv1s and Iohn Splegle were chosen by the Sophomores and Iim Usner and D ck Wertz represented the Freshman class The Senior class of Iune 1948 is fortunate ln that it has an exceptlonally beautiful Homecoming Court to remember and look back upon with pride The Homecoming Queen of 1948 was of course Bonnie Akins The Iunior class IS rightfully proud of their very lovely Queen Last years Queen Ioan Crutcher served as the crowner The Senior attend ants all excellent choices were Al1ce Theis Peggy Hook and Mary Firestone The three Iunior attend ants were Mary Baremore Iack1e Barlowe and Ioanne Iones Gwynn Doyle and Annalee Bornhofen were the Sophomore representatwes while Virginia Retter and Iulie DeMa1ne were chosen from the Freshman class The g1I'1S were presented at halt time during the Kenmore football game the lTGd1 tional Homecoming game 2 O First Knight.
