The other night we went to a party that Gurk threw to celebrate his many diplomatic successes. As we drove up to the ambassador's mansion we were the victims of a frightful accident. Yes, Kathy Auten, Ioyce Chalfant, Marg Goodwin, Marilyn Kline, Ioyce Shoemaker. Nancy Anderson and Mary Lou MacDonald were doing over 35 in their Get4a-way car again. Tsk, tsk, girls! Right on hand to see that justice was done was Roslyn Sholiton, noted woman lawyer, and physician. Dr. Ianet Ault, stood ready in case there were any sextuplets to deliver, but alas! no luck! After Dick Tarzan Rennick picked up the pieces of our poor little car and threw them over his shoulder into a neighboring lot we entered the Ulrich mansion On hand to greet us was Alicia Ulrich the former Millie The s Beside her stood her famous husband Gurk lookrng very dis trnguished in a bright green satin suit with the letters Ulrichs Stadium printed on the back He also wore matching argyle socks and tie In the mammoth living room were hundreds and hundreds of people Very absorbed in one corner we saw Ann Stansfreld playing on her 49th game of solitaire Next to her stood brother Eddie looking through the crowd for a beautiful woman Marilyn Ritchie walked rn looking very lovely except for one thing the left pocket of her coat sagged down to the floor She admitted that in that pocket were all of Howie Reeves lab keys ah' sweet revenge' We spotted Iohn Schumacher busy drinking Calverts he has to uphold his Man of Distinction title you know Ray Sabo and Clancy Call: were mixing punch fOh' This censored Grrffml for everyone while Ioan Crutcher was busy in the kitchen making some of that famous lumpless gravy Down in the mansions elaborate wreck room we spied Iohnny Ream innocently marking a deck of cards Behind the bar stood Cassidy Burke and Iackson grving out with a swoony version fCont1nued on Page 243 Being of sound mind and body, and having served the custo- mary four years lin most casesl we, the Iune graduating class of 1948, A.D., hereby make our last will and testament upon leaving dear old Iohn R. Very absorbed in a game of Old Maid were Admiral Dwight Vincent, Seaman First Class MacDowall, and deck boys Iohn Drain, and Frank Metcalf. Dwight was telling about his exciting experiences on the S.S.-Y.M.C.A. while his Navy buddies listened attentively. Kibitzing all over the place were those two hard guys, Dick Volk and Dick Wagner. We left the wreck room before it was a complete wreck and strolled up to the library. Here we found Lauralee Shea autographing copies of How To Win Friends and Influence Sponsors , while her personal valet, She'll Laugh at Anything Loughridge, was busy giving her a Toni. Buried in a book entitled How To Cheat At Bridge was Kay Ftobinson. lust then, Barbara Thompson burst into the library with Dave Dresser on her heels. Barbara was crying I hate you, l hate youl while she kissed him madly. Things were getting a little too hot for comfort in the library so up we went to the pool room. Here we spotted Pool Room Mary Cattran and some of her colleagues including Bob Wilson, Nick Thomas, Iack Godshalk and Red Stiller. Shorty Hakes, champion pin-ball machine player in the U,S.A., retired to the pin-ball machine, and got three black out games, which made her the envy of everyone present. Dick Everhard, T. N. F. P., and wife Martha. came in to watch Cattran get behind that eight ball. lack Usner strolled in but no one recognized him. lack was voted Most Promising Artist of 1958 and it had gone to his head. He was wearing a mauve beret, a red and white polka dot flowing tie, and a blue shirt with P. W. on it no doubt to mean prize winner. With lack came Nick Barnes, The Greatest Thing Since Al Iolson when he sings the crowd swings ! 4Continued on Page 325 MA Continued from Page 31 Miller.
