We were steaming at flank to get to Japan For some liberty and Sake from old Mamasan, When the Captain announced, and a proud man Was he. The old Brass Canoe had Won the Gold E. Well done and good show, the congratulations 'came in, And the pure gold paint Was removed from it's bin. An artist came forth, and in gold on the Wings Painted our E with a few graceful swings.
