And a western flick and a soft bunk and the steam turbine ' s quaking, And Long Beach smog on the BC ' s face or a Subic dawn breaking. He must go down to the sea again, for the coll of the orient wide. Is a wild call and a clear call ( ' You speak, Joe I, that may not be denied And all he asks is a liberty day with the native girls complying, And a little cash and a means to dash and two feet flying. He must go down to the sea again to ride the Three E Tender, To the best ship and the only ship, Bryce Canyon be her gender ; And all he asks is a chance to work and be on ocean rover. And lots of sleep and a pat on the back when the long tour is over. He did go down to the sea again, he sailed her westwardly, And all he asks is a chance to tell, the BC ' s tale to thee. And to spin his yarn in words and pix for all to keep in mind. And to help explain our seven months to those we left behind.
