8 Seniors Reach Climax May 28. 1983, a day that will live in infamy for the graduat- ing senior class. This day marked the end of twelve years of school and the begin- ning of a wide spectrum of new activities. Ninety-one graduates took the giant step toward their future with Bac- calaureate Friday night and Graduation the following Sat- urday morning. Maroon and sil- ver were the colors chosen by the class for caps and gowns. Senioritis hit early for many seniors, but despite this conta- geous disease, seniors still man- aged to accomplish quite a few tasks. Float building was one of the major undertakings but proved to be a frivolous when adverse weather conditions caused the parade to be called off thus making Homecoming a rather soggy experience. State Football also proved to be a rewarding and memorable experience as the Beet-diggers took state lead by their senior players. These events helped to add color and excitement to their final year at B.H.S. PROM was the grand finale of dances at B.H.S. for the seniors and they had the opportunity to make their last debut on April 30th at a Hawaiian Fantasy which was the theme. Following tradition, the juniors sponsored PROM in honor of the seniors. Throughout the final year the class of '83 was lead by its officer team, Susanne Acosta, President; Rebecca Hunker, Vice-President, and Rosa Perez, Secretary-Treasurer.
