I A-s ClASS of 5 2 SOPHOMORE CLASS HISTORY Determined to make a success of themselves, the class of 1952 entered the halls of B. H. S. in September of 1948. Mrs. Wood and Mr. Simmons as sponsors guided us through our Freshman year. We were led by Roger Allen and Kenny Rieb, Presidents; Mary Ann Ostwald and Jimmy Sauer- breit, V. Presidents; Jeanne Jones and Paul Hildebrand, Secretaries; Jerry Capp and Donald Wilcox, Treasurers; Shirley Schneider and Addie Smith: Student Council Representatives. Making a float for the Homecoming Parade and taking charge of the bonfire for the Snake Dance were two of the big events of the year. Encouraged by their success as Freshmen, the class of ’52 returned to B. H. S. This year Miss Burkett and Mr. Lindberg assisted them as sponsors. The class officers were: Presidents, John Christensen and Danny Scott; Vice Presidents, Edna Gieck and Shirley Schweers; Secretaries, Jerry Capp and Addie Smith; Treasurers, Evelyn Hansen and Kenny Rieb; and Student Council Representatives Ted Lewis and Roy Muir. The tradi- tional Sophomore Hayride was held, a float was entered in the Homecoming Parade, we sponsored several dances and were in charge of Baccalaureate and Commencement decorations.
