PROPHECY Class of '50 in ’61 Miss Shirley Boxer has just returned from a three-year cruise to Paris and other parts of Europe. The new “Drive Inn” near Brush is under the management of Frances Christansen and Mary Ann Walter. Delmar Edson is the head of the regional National Guard units. Charles Schafer has just bought a share in the Adams’ Oil Co. Bud Sorensen in this year of 1961 is the great coach of C. U. The President has appointed Irene Sullivan as Postmistress at Ft. Morgan. Harry Tate has just recently purchased a new 1962 Rocket 88 Oldsmobile and wants everyone to make sure they get a ride. Fire Chief, Dale “Freddie” Walker, saves Jack Boxer’s house when it catches fire. Ramon Walker is succeeding Mr. Schweers as a great Mathematics Teacher. Clyde “Bud” Smith has announced his opening of the big Smith Ranch with all wooden horses. Harold Spade’s champion runner “Lukaiya” won the Kentucky Derby. The former Donna Lee Starr has just been named Morgan County Health Nurse. We hear that the Denver Symphony Orchestra has called for the great French horn player, Dorothy Walter. The governor of California is having none other than Velma Atkinson as his personal nurse. The new teacher in the Home Economics Department is Mary Ellen Bass. Betty Wambolt is now secretary to the new governor of Colorado. Joan Bolinger didn’t complete her major in Physical Education, but she gets plenty of workouts at home. The Former Nancy Lee Weimer is thriving quite nicely on the million dollar income from the Gimbel’s Construction firm. Now controlling the Brush Duckwall Store is Helen Weinmaster. The play boy, Joe Miller, has produced another hit for Broadway. This one is called “Laugh? I Thought I’d Die!” Dorothy Reichart’s long major in chemistry has proved wasted; she no longer is a chemist. ( ?)
