7o the. Sesuosi ClaAA. 4 947 SUPERINTENDENT, MR. E. W. THOMSON Many people will congratulate you upon finishing your high school work! Most of these people will be sincere, but a few will be uttering only expressions which seem to fit the occasion. I can sincerely congratulate you but for fear it might seem that I am only repeating a shopworn expression, I would like to approach the matter from another direction. In homely and everyday language, I would like to dare you: To play all innings of the game of life according to ac- cepted rules, but to accept graciously any penal- ties should you violate the rules; To lead such a clean and honest life that you can sleep peacefully with yourself at night; To be the best businessman, engineer, nurse, teacher, politician, doctor, journalist, preacher, laborer, lawyer or other workman your ability will allow you to be; To bring to pass in all ways the dreams and hopes for you of your parents, teachers and friends. Class of 2947— DARE YOU!

TO THE COMMUNITY OF BRUSH In gratitude for the aid and encouragement given to our grad- uating class during the past school years, we, the Class of 1947, dedicate this annual.

From the Editors CLARICE WILSON, Co-Editor BRUCE HANSON, Co-Editor The Superintendent has stated that many people will extend congratulations to members of the graduation class. Few of these people will bother to give us suggestions or hints as to the problems facing us. Each of us will be on his own, no longer protected or guided by the teachers and parents who have helped with many of the troubles and difficulties. We shall be separating after graduation to follow different professions. It may take some time for us to become ad- justed to the various persons with whom we come in contact and to the surroundings in which we find ourselves, but using both time and energy to the very best advantage, We, the Co-Editors of the annual representing the Senior Class of 1947, ACCEPT THAT DARE!
