Senior Honor Society WM L. Peterson, L. Jensen, B. George, V. Smythe, B. Oldemeyer, E. Sorensen, K. Lorensen, Mrs. Atkin- son, Mr. Allingham. The National Honor Society has become active this year, the first time for many years. All members are chosen by the Faculty, whose decisions are based on Character, Scholarship, Leadership, and Service, all of which form the very foundation of the organization. Its present membership consists of Beverly Oldemeyer President; Betty Lou George, Vice-President; Lucille Jensen. Secretary; and Ruth Lorensen, Treasurer -all in- itiated last spring; and Vernon Smythe, Eva Marie Sorensen, and Louise Peterson—initiated during the second semester this year. • • • Oh What It Seemed To Be The Student Council went through the year with twenty-four members guided by vernon smytne as President and Mr. Ailingham as Faculty Advisor, uunng in« course or tne year tne Council dis- cussed changing the school name and the purchase of new cyclor- amas, and sponsored a Courtesy campaign. Sponsoring a yen con- test, and school dance, the isational Assembly Programs, and class- assemblies also constituted a part of the year s activities. Prizes for the annual Homecoming Parade on iNOvember 16 were given by the Student Council who also instigated and arranged the parade festivities. The Student Voice Box continued to play an important role in the activities of the Council and Student Government. Many various problems were discussed at weekly meetings, that had been sub- mitted through the Student Voice. The Council also sent four members to the Convention of Stu- dent Councils held in Fort Collins in April. The year was concluded by the annual Student Council Picnic, at which the council members entertained the members of the fac- ulty of B. H. S. VERNON SMYTHE Student Council FRONT ROW: B. George, C.
