We thought we were the class of ’45 but we soon found out we would be the Class of ’49 if we studied hard for a few years. We held a class meeting and elected officers and chose sponsors to guide us through the year. On the morning of September 21st, Freshman initiation was held preceding the football game with Yu- ma. The Seniors sponsored a school dance that night to welcome us into school activities. Our class play “Junior Buys a Car,” was given November 14th. The well-chosen cast gave an excellent performance. Our Freshmen boys took an active part in athletics and our girls supported the Pep Club. All the mem- bers of the class took an active part in various school organizations.
