J Essur One of the most valuable gifts which the high school has ever received is the museum presented by Mrs. C. L. Jessup. This museum is a very valuable one, containing 1na11y relics now very hard to obtain, and many which are very rare. The water fountain and pitcher are exactly like those used by Lot when he bathed the feet of the angels at the door of his tent, and like those used by Christ. The handsome hammered brass trays from Damascus are very inter- esting, one of them being over four thousand years old. Mrs. Jessup is a native of the State of Maine. She became an ordained minister when she was only nineteen years of age, and has held a number of important pastorates, and though she is a member of the Friends Society, she has held evangelist services for all denominations. She was a pioneer among women lecturers and preachersg but in spite of this fact, she was regarded as one of the greatest evangelists of the day. Her gracious kindness to the high school will ever be remembered by the students. . ,1 ' X - s' '.'. ' 1,,,,',., -.j .1't'i'o'.7'1 '.,:i'4'i1' f , M A xx .ffl fp I ffl' ' ff.
