X' . 1 CHARLES CE LAYA, Cczptam Fulllmck Big Mike was the best punter and safety . and the most dangerous triple threat man in Texas High School football, He scored the touch- down that tied Rice, and almost un' aided turned back that vaunted Corpus Christi offense and had the ball in midfield when he broke his leg. We do wish Mike had lasted out that game! FRANKLIN GRAHAM Q uurfvrbllck Our little quarterback never left any- thing undone that courage, dash, and a fighting heart could do. Although one of the smallest men on the squad, and handicapped all season by in- juries, Dut overcame all handicaps by grit and courage, and played brilliant- ly in every game. Hn was one of our hardest and surest tacklers. JEWELL RICHARDS Right Hrzvlfbuck Among the breaks which cost a championship was the midseason ill- ness of right halfback Jewell Richards.
