'lllllfl lflvuo FLORENCE DORAN- Floss Operettag Girls' Chorusg A. A.g Pioneer Liter- ary Society: French Clulbg Pageants. Hi! Well, who could that be 'but Floss? Her musical laugh seems to 'penetrate through the whole building. She has a happy disposition and enjoys herself at all times and in all places. FLOYD EGMOND- Rhody Orcliestrag Basket Bally Pioneer Literary So- cietyg Class Playg Base Ball. Rhody's red hair reflects the happy good humor which is so characteristic of him. He's a whiz of a basket ball player, the best that the Class of '26 can 'boast of. We surely are proud of this all around sport. HELEN EMERICK Sihe comes from the 'Beacon Light district Although she 'belonged to B. H. S. only one year, svhe has proved herself as one of the bright and shining lights of our class. Her curly red hair seems to radiate good cheer and her pleasant smile seems to cast 'away spirits of gloom and sadness. IMOGENE FLANAGAN- Imy Orchestrag Girls' Chorusg Operettasg Pageantsg Class Playg French Playg French Club: Latin Clubg Hi-Yg Hamilton Literary Societyg Banquet Committeeg 'Owl Staff: A. A. Just across the room was heard a mirthful giggle, issuing forth from an Irish colleen. Imy plays many diiferent musical instruments, vo'cal cords, piono and violin. The girls of B. H. S. seem to like colorful names, Imy prefers Brown ER-MA FORD Erma is our sedate young lady who has striven against many odds to stay with us the last four years. However, she has succeeded. She has been a help to the class and B. H. S. will miss her in the yefars to come. l'uyrf ldiyhfccnl

Tim Evllo DENZIL CROYLE- Denny Operettag Pioneer Literary Societyg Chorus. Denny is 'always seen and never heard. Denny is always in evidence, just loafing 'around and en- joying himsellf. He seems to take life as it games and doesn't worry over the affairs of the ay. MELVIN CYPHERT French Clubg Lincoln Literary Society: A. A. When a person has Melvin as a friend, he has a real and true one. He doesn't seem to have ia liking for the girls. It matters not to him. He has other things to think about. EARL DAVIS Earl has been with us only during our Senior year, but even in that short time he has proved to us that he knows his stuff. His love poems make even those of Shelley seem dull and 'dryf We all thought at first that he was a biashful lad, but through his poetic ,gift we find him exactly the opposite. GLADYS DAVIS Girls' Chorusg A. A.g Pioneer Literary Societyg Basket Ba-ll. Although Gladys has been with us but a year she adds much to the intelligence of the Class of '26. And We'll tell you the secret of her rosy cheeks. It's natural. HAZEL DONALDSON French Clu'bg Pioneer Literary Society: Soph- omore Miseriesf' '24g 'Owl Stafi' '25g Hi-Yg Pa- gcants. O-Henry must be a favorite author of Hazel's, or it might be a bar of candy. No, that isn't right. O-Henry is just a little personial saying of ours. She is an excellent student and burns lots of mid- night oill, but don't be misled, not over lessons. Page S'1'l'rfu ff'f'n

Tim l'lt'll0 LEIGH L. FULTON Girls' Hi-Yg Latin Club, French Club, Operet- -tag Pageantsg Girls' Chorus, Sec'y Darling Lit- erary Societyg A. A.g Annual Staff. A phantom shape, an image gay, to haunt, to startle, and waylay. She is noted for her danc- ing and can always be seen doing some new step of the Charleston. Leigh is the opposite of 'most people for in the spring' her fancy seems to have turned to hate instead of loveg at least she pro- fesses a sudden and peculiar dislike for birds. ASHUR GALBRAITH- Ash President of Class '23g Base Ballg Captain of Basket Baill '255 Member of Athletic Association: Memfber Darling Literary Society. Time means nothing to Ash with his everlast- ing smile. Every five minutes there is an out- burst from the students when Ash is there. He's just so funny one can't help laughing. Ash is rather cute, Please don't take the wrong mean- ing. RUTH GALLAGHER Member Girls' Chorusg A. A.g Latin Clubg French Cluibg Pioneer Literary Societyg Pageants. Ruth is noted for the excessive use of her tongue. Beware that you mivht not give her the opportunity to employ the aforesaid on you. She is an UE student when she wants to be, but quite independent in her own way. ESTHENR GARNER Chorusg Hamilton Literary Society: Operetta '23g Pageantsg Hi-Y Clubg Latin Clubg A. A.g Secretary of Class '24, There is nothing' so appealing ras a lovely soul enfolded in a character ,that is so unsellish. Esther impresses us as such. She is kind and studi-ous and loved by all those who know her. CARRIE GILLIGAN Girls' Chorusg French Clubg Pageantsg Hamil- ton Literary Society. Somewhere from the wild woods of Pennsyl- vania a maiden stepped forth to see the world. Her destination was B. H. S. One thing that strikes us as peculiar in Carrie is that inevitalble blush which comes and goes as it pleases. Page Nineteen
