The Blue and White will be full of spark again, with almost all of last year's starters re- turning. Coach Cirillo is confident that the Engineers will be undisputed Champs this year. Spearheading the squad will be its four co- captains, Tom Lynch, a cleft ball handler, Walt Strobach, one of the city's leading scor- ersg and Richie Lipinski and Harris Falkin, who together will give the team an exception- ally strong line. 28

BASEBALL This year, as always, Techs nine made a line showing in PSAL competition. Tony Aversano and Fred Phster, the team's senior members, played starring roles in Mr. Wag- ner's aggregation of future stars. Tony played a strong center Field while Fred led the team with a phenomenal .556 batting average. The team, lacking a nearby practice field, will try to make up for this by starting practice well in advance ol' the regular season. Gold- man hopes that his remaining nucleus will improve upon last year's PSAL record. Led by such fine players as Pete Yellin and Neil Schroeder, the basketeers have a core of vet- erans around which they can build. The. present group, although not as big as last year's, makes up in hustle what it laeks in size. Cheering them on from the sidelines will be Fred Pfister, the only senior from last year's squad.
