Classmates TO THE GIRLS. . . you have also come in for your share of fame and honors during the school year. Your Homemaking department took many honors at the district meeting. Besides working hard all year on CAA intramural games, you put on an, excellent tumbling program for the as- sembly. lf it were not for you the band, the orchestra, and the chorus would be without many of their fine musicians. You have been responsible for much of the success of the speech department. Our school paper has as its editor a girl, and many of you are on either the Bobcat or Broboca staff. You have been resonsible for a greater part of the Brookings High School social life. Because you, too, have helped make us proud of our school, we dedicate our l94O Bobcat to you.

. 'D 'twxyllifig fee in JM Mr. Martin, the superintendent of Brook- ings Schools, attended Kansas State College and the University of Colorado. Our superintendent is an ever present counselor and adviser, and is to be found at all school functions. An active Rotarian, Mr. Martin was elected District Cov- ernor of that organization a year ago. Tennis and golf are 'l. E's.' favorite outdoor sports. M. A. Lynott, Brookings High School's own Professor Quiz, studied at Yankton College and the University of Michigan. Aside from his current diversion, the popular question and an- swer program, Mike, who is principal in our high school, is a member of one of the downtown bowling leagues and an ardent ping pong player. During the summer we can find Mr. Lynott playing a better than average game of tennis and golf.
