We mature. and rimes forever present are remembered only as having been. 5 3}J, eaicauon tu ELIZABETH CREED Wc look up to her as a teacher and a friend who has guided us til rough three of the most important years of our lives. In her classes and by her example, we began to learn self-discipline and to strive for perfection in our work. She was firm when we needed supervision yet always understanding. She has shown continuing interest in us and has a smile and word of encouragement when wc need them most. Through her wc have gained a deeper appreciation for the English language as well as a basic knowledge of its intracacies. So we. the class of 1968, with sincere gratitude for her example, her patience in teaching, and her faith in us, dedicate the BROOKLET to Elizabeth Creed. DL Brooh Milt Q J • 1967 DEAR BROOKE HILL GIRLS, As wc continue in our education, we must not overlook the blessings and beauties of life. To learn about life is, in itself, a great and unending task. Because wc live to learn, we must learn to live, and, moreover, to appreciate all that God has given us. Ilie opportunities which Brooke Hill offers should inspire us all to do so. Gratefully, EDNA EARLE MULLINS Director Alabama College, B.A. University of Alabama, M A Advanced Graduate Study, University of Chicago, Yale University. To Miss Mullins and the faculty we owe not only an invaluable education but also a broad understanding of the life and people around us. They have given generously of themselves bv taking the time to become interested in each of us, as individuals and as students. They have laughed and cried with us; and just as we have become a part of their lives, they have become a cherished part.of ours. 8 JOY BOX English Livingston State Teachers College Birmingham-Southern College, A.B. As we, the Seniors, recall these last nine months, we realize that we have experienced each of these. As a result of being together in the Senior Room, we have made lasting friendships by learning to accept individuality and by learning to appreciate each other’s efforts. The reward of group success has been an outgrowth of these friendships, but along with them has come our share of disappointments.
