SUPPLY DEPARTMENT functions an integral part of the ship in all phases of services to the crew. There are five divisions comprising the SUPPLY Department with each divi- sion performing a particular service. Ship's Service Division provides laundry, barbershop, and ship's store services. On this deployment, numerous foreign merchandise was ordered through the ship's store. The Food Service Division feeds the crew with well-balanced meals three times a day and had several Hflightdeck cookout barbeques consisting of steaks, hotdogs, hamburgers and other goodies. Remember the surf and turfi' dinner after the departure of Mombasa?'! The Storekeeper Division has the function of ordering, receipting, accounting, and stowing of all consumable and repair part items required. The Stewart Division provides services to the wardroom mess and officers country. The Disbursing Division handles the pay records of the officers and crew and accounts for all types of disbursements.
