What makes a vessel a Warship is her guns, and the men who take care of BRONSTEIN's guns are the Gunners Mates and Fire Control Technicians of 2nd Division. Their job is fairly self-explanatory in that all that is required is that the guns shoot and the pro- jectiles strike the target. However, to accom- plish this, in an era of supersonic aircraft, high-speed surface craft, and mobile armor units, a sophisticated electronic system of radar controlled guns is required. These guns must be maintained and aligned con- sistently for the job at hand. This is the task that the Gunners and FT's undertake, for their job cannot afford a miss or a mistake.
