CLASS HHSTORY On September 5 1952 seventy seven freshmen wrth therr sponsors Mlss Betty D111 and Mr Howard Jacob began therr long trek through the halls of BBHS The class offlcers were Lou1s Strthem presrdent Ranny Varney vrce presrdent Marcene Eacker secretary Judy I-Ircks treasurer Numerous tr1als and tr1bu1at1ons wxth algebra and gen eral scrence were supplemented by two class partres All remember the sprrtted Talent Show and the Moonshrners As sophomores w1th Mrss LOIS Chr1stensen as sponsor the followrng offrcers were elected Tom Enckson prestdent Jerry Choffel v1ce presrdent Lou1s Suthem, secre tary Annette Chase treasurer student councrl members John Dletz and Marcene Eacker Brology and geometry proved very troublesome however another class party sparked the year Durrng the summer a polro epxdemxc swept the area and took from us one of our classmates V1rg1n1a Cole As Jumors we had a very busy year under the capable leadershrp of Ranny Varney treasurer, student councxl Jerry Choffel and Judy Hrcks The very able sponsors were Mr John Sweente and Mlss Al1ce W1nk Concesslons sold at the football games and lyceum programs helped rarse money for the depleted treasury On November 9 10 the class play Our Mrss Brooks was proudly presented Then as a frttrng clrmax for the year the senrors were mvxted to attend the grand Mardr Gras as the banquet and prom Later there was a mov1e at the Dr1ve In and breakfast at the Country Club The semor class of 1956 was headed by Bob Clay as presrdent Joanne Rockwell vtce presldent Patty Rrggs secretary Jerry Choffel treasurer student councrl members Joyce Davtdson and Dwarn Gunther They made many commendable records rn the frelds of scholarshrp musrc and athletlcs Wrth the p1nk rose as the class flower and p1nk and charcoal as therr favonte colors, the class of 56 left many 1ndel1ble rmpres srons rn therr h1gh school career Wrth rnnumerable memories of their beloved alma mater they confxdently went out rnto the world eager to prove therr belref 1n the1r class motto The glft of knowledge rs the grft etemal. 1 I - D I I I , I o , . u . : . .
