I, VIRGIL PRESCOTT, surrender my ability to chose small girl friends to Don Baker. I, LOWELL SPENCER, leave my height to “Pee Wee” Lacher. I, JOHN SWICK, will my Toni curls to the Toni Twins. I, JACK TOWNS, relinquish my flirtations to Bob Klein. We, JOHN LARSON, and HARRY WINBOLT, bequeath our Spanish books to Bill Williams. I, BONNIE YOUNG, leave my intelligence to Beverly Fiske. I, MARLYN ZIMMERMAN, leave my anthology honors to the future senior English classes. I, PATTY TEAHON, leave the teacher’s classes to take up teaching classes. I, BOB SIMONSON, leave my gridiron tactics to Eugene Armstrong. I, BOB FENSTER, leave sleeping in classes to sleeping at night hereafter. I, LOREN BETZ, surrender championship in the locker room to “Rowboat” VanWormer. I, BEVERLY FINK, bequeath my soprano position in choir to Beverly Baker. Class Prophecy Let s take a look into our crystal ball....... .....and see what’s in store for the class of ’51 in the year 1971. BROKEN BOW LOOKS VERY DIFFERENT! Many new industries have sprung: up! There’s Larson-Eacker-Winbolt Auto factory, with Joan Prescott and Viola Glendy as secretaries and Robert Jacobsen as chief mechanic. AT THE INTERPLANET AIRPORT, managed by Robert Peterson, we find Milan Chrisman, pilot, and Herb Smets, co-pilot, warming up their space ship for a take-off. Jim Dunn is a climatologist for this progressive airport. Zoom! LaDonna Avery has just set a new speed record to the moon with a super-jet plane. NORMAN DAHARSH, TAXI DRIVER, is taking successful farmers; Jerry Dunn, Glen Wilkerson, and David Thompson, to the airport. They are on their way to a big international stock show. Oh, oh! It looks like he’s getting a ticket for speeding from Corporal Cletus Klein, who has been hiding behind that billboard which says: Vote for John Forsyth for City Light Commissioner. NOW LET’S LOOK at that enterprising radio station KCNI. Lowell Spencer is conducting a quiz program. Imo Jeanne Pierce, career woman, has just missed the jackpot question and now all that money will go to farmer’s wife, Helen Cramer, who sent in the question. Now for Jim Weitzel and the latest news:.... MARY LOU FURROW, ambassador to Mexico, is leaving today for Mexico City. REPUBLICAN SENATOR Barbara Stephenson attaced Democrat leader, Betty Piper’s new bill for farm-price support program. A NEW, ALL-PURPOSE FOOD has been discovered by well-known scientist, Robert Simonson. LOREN BETZ, outstanding entomologist, has perfected his formula for exterminating all atomic bugs. TONIGHT the world heavy-weight champion.Norland Carr, will defend his title against a new contender. BARBARA MYERS was voted best all-round woman athlete of this year at an athletic convention in New York City. HERE IS A SPECIAL BULLETIN — Wendall Fink won first place in the national jet-auto race at San Francisco, with Virgil Prescott coming in second. GENERAL JOHN C. SWICK of the United States Army retired today as there is nothing to do now that we have world peace. IN THE NEWS of local interest we find that Mayor Elizabeth Thurman issued a proclamation today that all mice be destroyed as soon as possible. IT IS RECOMMENDED that this be done with Steve Pederson’s newest invention, the perfect mousetrap. ACCORDING TO County Superintendent, Gw eneth M. Reed, school will begin on Monday, Sept. 6th, this year. DEAN HICKEY. Superintendent of Broken Bow Public School, has announced that new teachers this year will be: Janis Briggs, Alice Jezbera, Patty Teahon, and Anna Mae Stutzman. Delma Shafer will assist with the office work. Dentist Robert Fenster, who has had his office redecorated by Eldon Link, is now ready to carry on with his work. The CURRENT MOVIE at the Bow Theater is “The Great Lover,” starring Jack Towns (as Clark Ga ble has retired) and directed by Norma Elaine Smith. THERE’S “Wilma’s Ready-to-Wear Shop” with salesgirls Mary Lou Meyer and Deloris Apple-garth, who sell the originals styled by Jeanne and Joanne McDuffee; these are gracefully modeled by Mona Fees and Diane Le La Cheur. The “CUSTER COUNTY CHIEF” is now edited by Jean Iburg, with associate editor, Billie Jones, Helen Lomax acts as journalist. LAURA MAE MURRY is writing a very interesting continued story. TOM HILL is known for his popular cartoon, “Eb and Sally.” IN ONE of the news items, written by Audrey McCaslin, we find that Gaylord Eberle and Bill Van Cleave as new ranch hands. WE ALSO SEE that Max Gross, who is Justice of the Peace, was injured in a fall and was taken to Doctor Shirley Bence for treatment. “KEPLER’S KOFFEE SHOP” is doing a thriving business, with Geraldine Mason as manager and Della Heath as head waitress. Now as our crystal ball grows dim, we, Beverly Fink and Bonnie Young, wish the Senior Class of 51 lots of happiness and success.

I, STEVE PEDERSON, would leave some of my height but I think it will come in handy for myself. I, AUDREY McCASLIN, leave school to face the world indifferently. I believe in come what may.
