The class of '51....... ......began walking the halls of B.B.H.S. in the month of September, nineteen hundred and forty-seven, not sure where they were going. We were duly initiated into the ways and customs of B.B.II.S. with the help of Mr. Cramer and Mr. Huntzinger. The people chosen to lead the class were president, Tom Sweeney; vice-president, Gweneth Reed; secretary, Lowell Spencer; Jack Towns; sergeant-at-arms, Dick Ahl. As sophomores we struggled........... ......with geometry and biology. We enjoyed school parties and dances throughout the year. Some of us were chosen to serve at the junior-senior banquet and were rewarded by being invited to the junior-senior prom following the banquet. Guiding us through this year were president. Bob Fenster; vice-president, Virgil Prescott; treasurer, Barbara Stephenson; secretary, Bob Simonson; sergeant-at-arms, Bob Jacobsen. The junior year........ ....was a busy one for most members of the class. It meant hard work and many school activities. Under the direction of Maurine Nelson we presented our play, “Meet Me In Saint Louis.” Selling pop corn, candy bars and pop at football games, presenting a lyceum course, and working on the junior-senior banquet were among the activities that kept us busy. At the head of all these activities were president, Gweneth Reed; vice-president, Lowell Spencer; secretary, Mary Lou Furrow; treasurer, Helen Lomax; and our sponsor, Miss Sanders. At last we had reached our goal............ ......seventy-two industrious Indians. We started to work at once collecting material for our annual and choosing for class officers president, Lowell Spencer; vice-president, Bob Simonson; secretary-treasurer, John Forsyth. Our sponsor is Mr. Adams. We are leaving B.B.H.S., but wo will not leave the memories of our high school days. And though each of us is looking forward to a bright future we will always remember our Alma Mater.
