The Poets of the Class of '47 After intensive study of English Literature seniors are given the opportunity to try some creative writing. I'o some, this assignment was a pleasure while to others it was quite irksome. Nevertheless, all seniors were requested to write one poem. In this year’s Senior English Classes of seventy-six members a variety of poetry resulted. All poems were sent to the Poetry Center in Los Angeles. California, where they were judged. Nineteen poems received the distinction of appearing in the National High School Poetry Anthology. Four of these received honorable mention.
