The Senior Class of 1963 is pleased and proud to dedicate this edition of LaLz'berfe' to MISS FLORENCE MILLS. We dedicate this yearbook to Miss Mills not because of her specific contribution to our class because so few of us have had her for our teacher, but rather because of her immeasurable contribu- tion in the education of the thousand or so Brocton students who have. Miss Mills graduated from Brocton High School after which she attended Fredonia State Teachers College before she began teaching in Ripley, New York, in 1925.Five years later Miss Mills came back', to Brocton and for the past 33 years has been a member of our faculty. We wish Miss Mills the success in retirement, which she will begin in june, that she has had in her 38 years of teaching. Our school will miss her but the students who will never have her for their teacher to witness her understanding, patience and firmness will, unknowingly, miss her most. I ww 5 fi I Q? kg is Louis D. The absence of john and Larry has saddened many hearts. The words of Charles Dickens can best express our feelings. When Death strikes down the innocent and young, for every fragile form from which he lets the panting spirit free, a hundred virtues rise, in shapes of mercy, charity, and love, to walk the world, and bless it.'
