CLASS WILL We, the Senior Class of 1949, being of sound mind and seeing our bedsides surrounded by friends and loved ones, do hereby now present this, our last will and testament. Item I—To the Senior Class of 1950, we leave the Senior Room, it’s contents and our best wishes for a happy and successful Senior year. Item II—To the members of the faculty of our beloved school, who have so pains¬ takingly guided us through our secondary education, we leave boundless ap¬ preciation for their untiring efforts in our behalf. Item III-—To the individuals listed below, we leave these tantalizing tidbits of personal glory! To Dolly Armentrout, I, Shirley Borror, will my desk just inside the door of the Senior Room, with hopes that she can “grin ’n bear” the accumulation of miscellaneous articles always placed thereon. I, Jane Brown, do bequeath to Eleanor Williams my amazing ability to be a little late for school and hope she will have better excuses than I have had ! I, Yvonne Simmers, do will to Mary Kathryn Fulk my ability to get along in school without studying. To Joyce Lantz, I Betty Jo Kline, do bequeath my job as Sports Editor or. the Reflector staff. I, Alta Sue Turner, will my position in the band to Betty Sue Hoover, with hopes that she, too, will play in the All-State-Band. To Betty McWilliams, I, Betty Crider, leave my distinctive sense of humor and my special brand of giggles. I, Waldean Dove, bequeath to Wanda Good my golden hair and fair com¬ plexion, on the condition that she doesn’t use them to steal my boy friend. I, Louise Long, bequeath my winning personality and physical characteristics to Norva Lee Siever. My scatter-brained ways and contagious chuckle, I, Elizabeth Ann Early, leave to Louise Roller. I, Joan Donovan, will my talents as chief doodler of the ’49 Reflector to Janalee Sheetz. To Dorothy Ann Early, I, Donna Kline, do bequeath my quiet ways and rest¬ ful nature. I, Merle Lantz, do bequeath my beautiful smile and my quiet but friendly manner to Anna Lucy Phillips. I, Carl Spitzer, bequeath to Bobby Rhodes my talent in basketball with the best wishes for as much success as 1 have had. I, Lula Crider, leave to Alva Phillips my rosy cheeks and blue eyes. To Danny Spitzer, I, Gene Armentrout will my deep voice, and my skill in driving bus No. 30—the latter given to him only if he has steady nerves and an even temper. I, Faye Spitzer, bequeath my old, worn-out chewing gum and my rare col¬ lection of absence slips to Norma Dove. To Edwin Turner, I, Hugh Billhimer, leave my infectious laughter, my good nature, and my ability to get along with people. I, Naomi Shoemaker, bequeath my conscientiousness and quiet ways to James Clutteur, providing he uses them to the best advantage of the class.

I, Chester Litten, will to George Trumbo my “frail ' ’ physique, along with a warning not to become too pleased with his new-found power. I, Nita Reamer, leave my soft voice in Civics class, my basketball suit, and my desk so often occupied by Jennings to Alma Lee Pullins. To Justin Halterman, I, Kale Barb, leave my “tough-guy” manner and my avid passion for English literature. I, Bill Smith, bequeath the distinction of being the quietest boy in the Senior Class to Glenn Will (Reasons evident! ! !) To Gerald Orebaugh, I, Helen Pullins, will my love for staying home. I Fadene Smith, leave to Nancy Trumbo my position in the band with hopes that she can find as convenient a way of getting to rehearsals as I have had. I, Harold Roller, leave to any Junior with ample brawn and no brain mv position as mimeographer for the Communi-K. I, Biedler Higgs bequeath to Jimmy Rhodes my abilities to argue in Chemistry and sleep during Civics classes. 1, Jennings Crider, will to Johnny Huffman my cameleon-like qualities of be¬ ing either good or bad. To Idella Mongold, I, Pegg y Dovel, do bequeath my small stature and my winning ways. I, Iva Harpine, leave all my mysterious curlycues, my well-used Shorthand book and my unerring knack for finding the right words in my manual to Hilda Mitchell. To Wanda Hinkle, I, Betty Lou Fike, do bequeath my skill in collecting ads, my “love” for writing English summaries, and my athletic abilities. I, Lois May, will my sweet smile, my naturally curly hair, and my sunny dis¬ position to Joy Andes. To Ruby Showalter, I, Anna Kline, do bequeath my never-failing talent for blushing at the wrong time and giggling behind books in Shorthand class. I, Clarene Sheetz, will to positively no one my interest in No. 20 of the boys’ basketball team! ! To Howard Kline, I, John Litten, leave my interest in girls—especially my interest in one certain Junior girl. To Louise Strickler, I, Marguerite Runion, will my culinary achievements with reminder that “the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach”! I, Edward Stayner, bequeath to Lester Whetzel my long legs and lack of ability to be quiet in English class. I, Janet Wittig, leave to Jay Crider my weakness for tall, dark and handsome people.
