Mildred Foltz and Mildred Mathias are working for the F. B. I. in Washington, D. C. Lettie Dove is working in the Daly Brothers Shoe Factory. Audrey Hawkins is directing the Broadway Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra in a nightly performance. Evelyn Lohr is selling Avon Products in a drugstore on West Main St., Mayland, Va. Betty Anne Wilson is teaching physical education in Paducah, Ken¬ tucky. One, two, class, Halt, three, four. Evelyn Roller is singing, “Pm Nuts About You” on Bing Crosby’s Broadcast. Maxine Rosenberger is just getting married to a preacher. Alva June Trumbo is going around the world on her motorcycle. Elva Holsinger is starring in the new J. F. H. Production, “Princess Tibeta.” The gala premier is just starting. Frances Roller is teaching the kindergarten tots at Broadway, the tricks she learned in high school. Johnnie Long is living at Turley Town. He’s in partnership now, you know. A fleet of trucks numbering 500, are operating out of Broadway with Merlin Turner as owner. Jr. Fitzwater has completed his first great task in electrical engineer¬ ing. He has illuminated the street from his home to the cottage. Bergton is a booming field of agriculture with the applied principles of scientific farming introduced by Owen Stultz. The Brooklyn Dodgers just won the pennant from New York Yankees. Norman Lantz made some beautiful catches in center-field for the Dodgers. Jr. Holsinger is furnishing the Comic page to the Richmond Times York. That P-47 just crossing is piloted by Major Thomas E. Foltz of the Army Air Corps. D. W. Fawley is a test pilot for the Broadway Air Lines. Right now he’s in a power dive. Will he make it? Broadway High School had the pleasure of having Admiral Bare of the U. S. Navy as guest speaker at the graduation exercises of 1954. Jr. Holsinger is furnishing the Camic page to the Richmond Times Dispatch. Bachelor Paul Orebaugh is operating a 500 acre farm li 2 miles north of Broadway.

SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY On June 8, 1954, Paul and I were in the Hawaiian Islands looking for Gen. Wellington Z. Myers. We could not find him, so one of the boys told us to look through the “Far Sight Seeing Machine”. When we found him, he asked about the class of 1944, so we all took a look and here is what we saw. Ava Nell Brock is now a concert pianist, living in New York City. She is, at this moment, giving a concert in the second largest city in the world, Broadway, Virginia. Elise Harpine, world renowned lawyer, is just being sworn in to serve on the Supreme Court Bench. After roaming around for ten years, Maxine Moyers and June Lawson have found husbands and are keeping house. Annie Deavers and Nellie Davis are training in the Nurse Cadet Corps. Right now, they’re scrubbing floors. Frances Bennett has just returned to her work with the F. B. I., after spending the week-end with her husband, on his Virginia farm. Jackie Brown is married to a sailor. She is busy caring for her twelve children—four boys, four girls, and one set of quadruplets. Charlotte Yankey is an air-line Hostess. The plane is now crossing the Italian border. Ruth Thompson is presenting to the Mayor of Broadway, Virginia, a million dollar Art Gallery of her own works. Joyce Moyers is in charge of the new library in Abilene, Texas. She sure does know her books. Odessa Dove is typing for Glenn L. Martin in Baltimore. Flemmie Getz is an old maid and is teaching school in West Virginia. Josephine Whitmore is managing Whitmore’s Department Store. Virginia Phillips is busy making hand tailored suits. Blanche Kline is now principal of one of the largest schools in New Mexico. Mary Turner is on her way to visit Betty Grable. Doris Jamison is dancing with a marine in a canteen at Paris Island. Helen Emswiler is flying her rocket ship to the moon on a passenger flight. Naomi Dove is married and has a full time engagement with her twins.
