LIBRARY CLUB The Library Club was organized in I934 and has been active each year. The officers elected tor this year were: President, Joyce Franlcg Vice-President, Hazel Olmsteadz Secretary, Doris Benedict: Treasurer, Bettina Breen: Program Chairman, Bernice Weiderrnan. The club has held a meeting on the second or third Tuesday ot each month. Atter the January exams, the members ot the French II class were initiated into the club. The most important event in our program was the French Casino. a social and financial success, which included a style show, floor show and dancing.

The highlighT of The season was The club's enTerTainmenT consisTing oT Three shorT plays. Mr. Heagle direcTed The presenTaTions and Miss Suifs aided in The preparaTion oT The casT. On April l5 Mrs. B. D. Miller gave an inTeresTing accounT oT her European Travels. This lecTure was enjoyed by The club members and Their guesTs in The high school audiTorium. During The Spring Term iT was decided To award a scholarship prize To The- Commerce sTudenT having The highesT average in Two Commercial subjecTs. Rings Tor club members were purchased and received during The second Term. A TiTTing climax To The year's acTiviTies was an enjoyable TheaTre parTy held aT The Plaza TheaTre in SchenecTady during The laTTer parT OT The Spring Term.

LATIN CLUB The Lae+i l.a+ini co'mposed of members of Lafin ll and Lafin Ill classes was formed in fhe fall of I936 with ihe following officers: Consul, Sfuarf Finch: Quaesfor. Muriel Coloneyz Scriba, Edy+he Underwood: Nunfius, Millicenf Cruihers. Meefings were held once a month in the High School where a miniafure Roman house was consfrucied and Lafin games and songs were enjoyed. In April a Roman banquef was given in accordance wifh 'rhe Lafin cusfoms, only food that was charac- 'rerisfic of 'rhe Romans was served and affer 'the las? course a gill wifh an appropriafe Lafin verse was given fo each guesf. Affer fhe banquef slides on ancienf and modern Italy were shown. The purpose of fhis club is To creafe an inferesf in +he Lafin language. The members are: Marie Anselmenf, Mary Bilobran, Gladys Brown, Frances Canfield, Muriel Coloney, June Cook, Millicenf Crufhers, Martha Eglin, Virginia Eglin, Virginia Ferguson, Sfuarf Finch, Mary Ellen Gerring, Mary Groil, Millicenf Horfon, Mary Klyrnlcow, Agnes Olmsfead, Thelma Perkins, Dorcas Shaw, Wilma Slcapilc, John Sfead, Edy+he Underwood, Rifa Warren, and Miss Winne.
