tin school activities reflects Ripplites' liveliness
Ripplites demonstrate their pride in their school
by actively participating in both class- and school-
Entering high school as individuals, pupils grow
together through class activities. Although there is
no class organization until the junior year, after
vigorous campaigning for officers, class members set
to work selecting rings and presenting the junior
Dance, both of which earn money for the highlight
of the year, the junior-Senior Prom. Similarly, seniors,
after choosing their leaders, work toward Commence-
ment and the Grad Dance in the spring.
While class loyalties remain strong, pupils also
form firm friendships with members of other classes
through extracurricular clubs and athletic events.
Crganizations draw together pupils of similar in-
terests and abilities while providing enjoyment and
service. Likewise, athletics encourage integrity and
sportsmanship for both spectators and participants.
After school, throngs of hungry Broad Ripple pupils flOCk to
nearby drive-in restaurants for food and companionship.
Long lines of pupils crowd the Auditorium lobby on the first day Ripples tickets are o'fered for sale.
The student vaudeville-type production plays annually for two nights during March,

fans. Organized last year as the first of its kind in the city,
the section contains over 350 girls.

the chatter of Rachelle Salzman and Mary Pinnell.
Framed by the classroom door, pupils in an English class
concentrate on making a high grade on their test.
Leaving school, Mr. Clarence Morgan and Shari Vrell take time
to talk over the solution of a tricky algebra problem.
