Mr. Russell Hirschman, contest chair- man, Mr. Harold Harding, vice-principal, and Mr. Theodore Bosler, Fathers' Association president, examine the essays and posters in the dads' annual safety contest. We drive and R i p pl e prepares us for a fast-moving military and mo- torized life. When dad hands over the keys to the family car, he feels safer because our drivers' education classes have helped erase the black mark on teen-age motorists. And when we are in the driv- er's seat of the nation, ROTC training Will aid in the de- fense of our country. Big wheel. Riding high. Nancy Bugg and Bob Yount flash victory smiles after learning they have been elected Miss and Mr. Riparian at the news- paper's Silver Birthday Ball. Ripple has a full calendar of events to supplement our studies. After a hectic Week of tests and homework we are glad to put aside our books and join the fun. Beginning with the crowning of Miss and Mr. Riparian and climax- ing the year with the Grad Dance in the spring, we are constantly planning and en- joying our activities. We strid Ripple rabbits. Leading the bunny hop at the Valentine Heartbeat Dance are Gay Burkhart, Fritz Harbridge, Sandy Mills, Paul Jenkins, Sara Jean Reilly, and Mark Patton. 'l '-
