the spotlight Prize play. Judy Frank strikes Barry Dunn in a scene from the one-act play, High Window. The cast's performance won three first-place awards in the City Drama Festival and three in the contest at Ball State. Ripple's young actors can turn a bustling gymnasium into a hushed auditorium in a few moments although our barn-like stage taxes their ability to project. Victor Her- bert's Fortune Teller was the first major production. Next came High Window, Belles on Their Toes, and The Ripples, a student-pro- duced variety showy then in May the seniors presented their play. Gilbreth gang. In a scene from Belles on Their Toes sponsored by Ripple's National Thespians the Gilbreth children line up for their mother. 15

At homecoming time merchants decorate their store windows with orange and black victory displays. Last spring we joined Indian- apolis schools to celebrate the advancement of our c i t y ' s school system throughout its 100-year history. BRHS. Our motto, Broader, Richer, Human Service, is exemplified in our float for the Indianapolis Public Schools' centennial parade. Those taking part in this tableau are Tom Welton, Jim Bond, Barbara Tenney, Delva Carder, Bettina Gilchrist, Barbara Johnson, Kent Ferguson, Eddie Shearer, and Marilyn Woerner. 17
