1969 Green White Bristol High School Bristol, Rhode Island Anthony P. lasiello Dedication The most important characteristic of any teacher is that of dedication. A dedicated teacher will spend a countless number of hours trying to help out just one student. How can any of us forget the many times that this dedicated individual has assisted us in staying out of trouble? Another characteristic of a good teacher is that of enthusiasm. An enthusiastic teacher conveys his spirit so that a student is eager to learn all that is to be taught. Enthusiasm is supporting all the athletic events. Enthusiasm is taking pride in Bristol High School. A good educator must also be understanding. He must gain the respect of all his students. How many times have all of us gone to Mr. Iasiello for advice? How many times has he understood our problems and guided us? In addition to being a leader a good teacher must also be a disciplinarian. Without discipline our school years would have been chaotic. With the help of Mr. Iasiello, the class of 1969 has kept a good discipline record at the school. Therefore, it is with respect and gratitude that we, the class of 1969, dedicate our yearbook to Anthony P. Iasiello. 3 We praise our Alma Mater, Her spirit we shall keep, Of honesty, obedience and loyalty so deep. God bless our own dear High School And keep her safe from wrong While we who live her memory Lift up our voice in song. We learn from her to cherish Those ideals that we won, And ne’er to leave unfinished The work we once begun. While trying hard to master The tasks we daily do, And now to Bristol High School, We'll ever more be true. So here’s to Alma Mater, On thee we praise bestow For all the kind endeavors Our intellect to grow, While we will e’er remember as in those days of yore, We’ll pledge a deep devotion to Thee for evermore. 4 John F. Kennedy Memorial 1917-1963 thirty-fifth president of the United States I And so my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you: Ask what you can do for your country. My fellow citizens of the world: Ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man. 7 You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him to find it within himself. —Galileo Principal Mr. Michael Securo ■ Principal’s Message To the Class of 1969 Your three years at the new Bristol High School so suddenly have come to an end. While some of you are eager to leave, I know there are many who wish to remain. This is natural, but since you must all move ahead, I appreciate this opportunity to extend to you my best wishes for your success and future happiness. I sincerely hope that your training here has prepared you to face the world today with its many pressures, temptations and challenges. As you go forward success will come to those who constantly keep high aims and ideals, who show enthusiasm and energy, who are of service to others, and who continue to love and honor their country. Do this and your success will have a better chance of fulfillment. 10 Principal Mr. Anthony P. lasiello Principal’s Message To the Class of 1969 A general aim in education is the fullest possible morally, and socially—within the framework of our been successful.
