It was a long cold and snowy exercise with enough time out for only a brief visit in beautiful Pohang, so it was with glad hearts that we turned south and headed for Hong Kong. 73

Before pulling in, we conducted a Land-ex at Green Beach in Subic Bay, the first of many for BRISTOL COUNTY. After several successful launches we moored at the Ship Repair Facility in Subic for a well de- served upkeep. Our major emphasis during this inport period was the preparation for what was to be the most -extensive amphibious operation for the deployment, TEAM SPIRIT 84.
