LCDR DONALD ODGRASS XO LCDR SNODCRASS was born in Mount Morris, Illinois on 2 November, 1940. He received his BS Degree in Agriculture from the University of Illinois in June 1963 and was commisioned an ensign following completion of OCS in April 1964. His initial assignment was to Naval Air Air Station, Agana Guam followed by two years as a Naval Aviator. In 1968 LCDR SNODGRASS came to the Surface Navy first as a Division Officer on the USS COLONIAL QLSD-185 in San Diego, followed by a tour as operations officer of the USS SAN MARCOS CLSD-253 in Norfolk, Virginia. He then went on to Destroyer Department School in Newport, Rhode Island prior to reporting to the USS HAMNER fDD-7185 as operations officer in 1971. In the latter months of this tour LCDR SNODC-RASS also served as HAMNER's MOD SQUAD Executive Officer . Shore duty then followed in San Diego, Ca. at the fleet Combat Direction Systems Training Center as a Tactical Naval Warfare Instructor. Prior to reporting to BRISTOL COUNTY as Executive Officer in january 1977, he served as Combat Information Center on the Nuclear Powered Cruiser USS LONG BEACH QCGN-95. LCDR SNODCRASS is married to the former Miss Patricia Molnar of East Moline, Illinois . They have one son, Mark, and reside in Escondido, Ca. V -.,.'...4 --'.- ' --tw- COMMANDER ROBERT B. MCMANIS Commander MCMANIS was born in Pickwick Dam, Tennessee on 13 October 1937. He received his BA degree from the University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee, in june 1960 and was commissioned an Ensign following completion of OCS in january 1961. His initial assignment was to USS RANDOLPH QCVS-155 followed by a tour in Officer Procurement at U.S. Naval Recruiting Station, Cleveland, Ohio. From October 1964 to November 1966, Commander McMAN1S served as a Communications Officer in USS BEXAR QAPA- 237j. Upon completion of Navel Destroyer School in September 1967 he was assigned to USS O'HARE CDD-8895 as Operations Officer. A tour at OPNAV in ACNO Communications from 1969 through 1971 was followed by attending the Naval Post- graduate School in Monterey, California, where he received an MS in Management with a Communications subspecialty. He served as Executive Officer of USS DURHAM CLKA-1145 from August 1973 until February 1975. He reported to NAVCOMMSTA Londonderry in March 1975 serving as Communications Officer for four months prior to relieving as Executive Officer. Commander McMAN1S is married to the former Miss Jean Sherrod Brewster of Birmingham, Alabama. They have two children, a son, Robert f14j, and a daughter Ruth 4115. Commander MCMANIS is authorized to wear the Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, the National Defense Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Ribbon with palm. . .,f 'N,,,., ', Q ,,,.
