Academic Cultural Board The Cultural and Academic Affairs Board Was a new and exciting addi- tion to Ricks in '7l. The Board was created for the purpose of promot- ing cultural experiences for the students through Fine Arts Con- certs, exhibits, drama and music. In addition, the total academic program at Ricks was being supple- mented by a number of new pro- grams such as Tele-Lectures, Fine Arts Films, Open Forums, Current Affairs and a Political Speakers Series. Cultural and Academic Members The Exhibits Committee, Sharon johnson, Donita Bunch, and N elada Crant, were responsible for all art work or any other special displays in the Manwaring Center. The Atomic Energy Commission Dis- play, the Mock Stock Market Ex- hibit, and the Student and Faculty Art Shows were just a few of the exhibits sponsored by the Cultural and Academic Affairs Board. The newly formed Cultural and Academic Affairs Board has been very active this year. They have been responsible for such exciting events as The Danish Cyin Team and the Van Cliburn Concert.
