'E The Senate is elected by the associated students of Ricks College. One of the main purposes of the Senate is to appropriate the budget. President Eyring cut the budg- et this year which caused a hardship on Senate in knowing where to cut other budgets. The Senate regulated all activi- ties and worked for the students of Ricks College. The Senators attended classes to learn parliamentary procedure and to be- come aware of the limitations and powers they had. Senate appropriated a fund to provide scholarships for the senators dur- ing the first semester. Above: Senate discussed constitution revision with Presi- dent Eyring in attendance. Its goal is to provide the students of Hicks College with activities in all areas of interest to provide for social, cultural, academic and personal growth and to promote the over-all goal and purpose of Ricks College.
