With the addition of two stories in 1935, the Mechanical Arts Building, which was connpleted in 1919, became the Brimhall Building in honor of George H. Brimhall, third president of the University. The airforce unit on campus is now housed in this building. ' TSite , In 1913 under the direction of President George H. Brimhall, the Women ' s Gym- nasium was built for an amusement hall and a women ' s gymnasium. The $30,000 cost was obtained through the mortgaging of University owned Provo Reservoir stock. 19

The Diamond Jubilee in 1950 marked the dedication of the $2,000,000 Physical Science Building which is con- sidered the finest educational building West of the Mis- sissippi. Providing for as many as 2500 students at once, the building has more floor space than all the other perma- nent buildings on campus combined. 18
