The 1980 Briarcrest Varsity Boy's and Girl's golf teams had many ups and downs during the year. They played a very tough schedule and finished the year with a combined record of 13 wins and 20 losses. The high note of the season was when they finished second in the Dis- trict Tournament and earned the right to advance to the Regional Tournament in Savannah, Tennessee. They fin- ished 5th place out of nine teams that were competing. There were no seniors on the team so the future has something in store for the 1981 golfers if they continue to strive and work hard.
