South Pacific 150 - Activities and Organizations The Briarcrest High School Theatre and Music Departments presented the Broad- way musical South Pacific. The play was directed by Mrs. Wrene Covington assisted by Mr. Richard Stewart, the vocal music direction was under Mr. Steve May, while the orchestra was conducted by Mr. Terry McNatt. The art director for the play was Mrs. Elaine Neeley. Students with major roles in South Pacific included Wendy Owen as Nellie For- bush, Jeff Grise as Emile deBecque, John Stephens as Lt. Joe Cable, Edie Newman as Liat, Lorre Ballard as Bloody Mary, and Kyle Legg as Luther Billis. Other students in the production were Bo Clarke, Jeff Mounce, Michael Stewart, Richard Rose, Kelly Kitabchi, Fairy Ward, Tim Bettison, Charlie Alexander, Joe Sulli- van, Geoff Nixon, Jimmy Seuss, Keith Sanford, Jeff Phillips, Jimmy Trenthem, Ken McKnight, John Jones, Scott Haynes, Lloyd Warren, Andrew Lott, Lisa Keller, Katie DuPre, Mary Karen Armstrong, Linda Morris, Sloan Seier, Beth Noe, Michelle Lard, Lynn Lee, Penne Canada, Laura George. Crew chairmen for the production included Andrea Willis, Stage Manager, Props, Mary Jones, Tickets, Shirley Van Hooserg Publicity, Julie Ward, Program, David Caf- feyg Makeup, Mary Phillipyg Lighting, Mark Lawson, Scenery Artist, Geoff Nixon. Choreographer for the show was Sloan Seier.
