I N mf DEBATE CLUB The Debate Club, under the direction of Mrs. Todd, held its weekly meetings on Thursdays, activity period. The club attended the Ll. of N. tournament in February and participated in the Penobscot Valley Conference, winning the most debates of any school in the tournament -9 out of 12. Brewer tied with Old Town and Bar llarbor for the aflirmative trophy and with john Rapst for the negative trophy. The Penobscot Valley Conference was arranged in a series of debates held at Bucksport, ,lohn Rapst and Bar Harbor. The aflirmative team was composed of Eleanor Pullen and hiarilyn Graffam. Carolyn Perkins and ludy Blackmer for one round. Paul Todd and Lester Reid made up the negative for two rounds.
